17.02.2010 We Are The World 25 For Haiti - World Premiere

The Complete Official Version Of The 'We Are The World 25 For Haiti' Released

Here it is the complete full video of We Are The World 25. The video features Michael’s original performance with sister Janet adding her part. Michael’s children do not feature in the video.

Filmed by Oscar winner Paul Haggis, the video shows images of devastation from the island nation after the January 12 earthquake that has claimed more than 200,000 lives.

It also shows some of the 85 artists who gathered in Los Angeles earlier this month to re-record the 1985 charity anthem.

Teen sensation Justin Bieber opens the song. Also featured are Jennifer Hudson and Nicole Scherzinger, Sugarland singer Jennifer Nettles, Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion and Fergie. Josh Groban, LL Cool J, Nick Jonas, Lil Wayne (and his auto-tune), Jeff Bridges, Kanye West, Miley Cyrus and Haitian-American singer Wyclef Jean also get screen time.

Michael Jackson, who co-wrote the original hit with Lionel Richie, is shown in a clip from the original music video. In the new version, Jackson, wearing his trademark 1980s pseudomilitary regalia, sings alongside his sister, Janet Jackson.

Richie and fellow producer Quincy Jones introduced the song Friday via video, saying money raised by its sales will provide food, shelter and medicine for the Haitian people.

Fans can download “We Are the World 25 for Haiti” online now. All proceeds will benefit earthquake recovery efforts in Haiti.

02.02.2010 Michael Jackson Grammy Awards 2010 - Special Tribute In 3D

Michael Jackson Children Prince & Paris Accepted Grammy Lifetime Award

Prince and Paris Jackson accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of the late King of Pop at the 2010 Grammy Awards.

The pair sported red sashes on their arms to honor MJ and spoke in measured, well-mannered tones as the audience gave them standing ovations. They were joined onstage by a number of their cousins after Lionel Richie introduced the group following a star-studded performance of MJ’s “Earth Song.”

“We are proud to be here to accept this award on behalf of our father, Michael Jackson,” older brother Prince said. “First of all, we’d like to thank God for watching over us for the past seven months. And our grandmother and grandfather for their love and support. We would also like to thank the fans. Our father loved you so much because you were always there for him. Our father was always concerned about the planet and humanity. Through all his hard work and dedication, he’s helped with many charities and donated to all of them. Through all his songs his message was simple: love. We will continue to spread his message and help spread the word. Thank you. We love you, Daddy.” Prince choked up during his speech but maintained his composure and showed admirable poise while he spoke.

Paris, who delivered a moving speech to her father during the Staples Center memorial service last summer, closed out the speech with a brief, reserved message to her father.

“Daddy was supposed to be here, Daddy was gonna perform this year,” she said, keeping her composure. “He couldn’t perform last year. Thank you, we love you, Daddy.”

26.01.2010 Michael Jackson's THIS IS IT - Philippine “Dancing Inmates” Spectacular Tribute

Philippine “Dancing Inmates” Incredible This Is It Performance

Philippines “Dancing Inmates” from Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC), a maximum security prison, hosted Michael Jackson’s Concert Team as they showed appreciation to the “Thriller-Dancing” Inmates — for their tribute to the King of Pop and to the many hours of amusement Michael enjoyed when watching their past dance tributes — by Teaching Them New Choreography from THIS IS IT.

Check out this outstanding performance, simply incredible:

The idea behind the dance came from the prison’s warden, Byron F. Garcia. Byron was initially inspired when he watched the classic THRILLER video and realized how the prisoners and the lifeless forms were similar in some ways. So he added dance and song to their regimen to “give the prisoners” life and energy. The convicts marched and danced to several other songs, including “In the Navy” and “Y.M.C.A.” by the Village People.

In June of 2009 the inmates were inspired to re-create the dance as a tribute to Michael after his tragic death and that video also became a YouTube phenomenon.

Now, to celebrate of the January 26, 2010 DVD release of This is It, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment sent Travis Payne, Associate Director/Choreographer of This is It along with two of Michael’s top dancers, Daniel Celebre and Dres Reid, to convey their appreciation to the prisoners by teaching them two of the dances from the concert as they would have been performed.

Payne and the dancers worked with the Cebu Dancing Inmates for two days before performing it with them.

22.01.2010 Special 3D Tribute To Michael Jackson At The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards

Press Release: Special 3D Tribute To Michael Jackson At The Grammy Awards Ceremony

GRAMMY® winners Celine Dion, Jennifer Hudson, Smokey Robinson,
Carrie Underwood, and Usher will join together, along with the voice of Michael Jackson, in a moving tribute to Michael Jackson at the 52nd Annual GRAMMY Awards on Sun. Jan. 31, 8 – 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.

This very special GRAMMY Moment will feature the never-before-seen 3-D mini-movie for “Earth Song” that was created by Jackson as the centerpiece of his much anticipated “This Is It” tour, but was never seen by the public prior to this GRAMMY performance.

The 3-D film was created to support the performance of “Earth Song,” an original composition and a No. 1 hit for Michael Jackson Jackson. The song has a strong theme about the future of the planet, and Jackson saw it as a unique opportunity to deliver a message to millions of people who would have seen him on tour.

“It was one of the most important portions of the concert tour to Michael and when Michael saw the film for the first time at his last rehearsal, there were tears in his eyes,” according to Ken Ehrlich, GRAMMY co-Executive Producer and longtime Jackson associate, who was also at the rehearsal that night.

“This very special GRAMMY Moment will feature some of our most respected GRAMMY recipients, all of whom have a great love for Michael,” added Neil Portnow, President/CEO of The Recording Academy. “This segment promises to be an emotional highlight of this year’s show, and is sure to join the unique list of amazing performances for which the GRAMMY Awards have become renowned.”

This special segment also represents another GRAMMY technical breakthrough in that it will be the first time a major awards show broadcasts in 3-D. The GRAMMY Awards also were the first awards show to broadcast in high definition and 5.1 surround sound (2003).

So that viewers can enjoy this unique 3-D TV experience at home, CBS and Target have partnered to provide millions of free 3-D GRAMMY Glasses. From Sunday, Jan. 24, through Sunday, Jan. 31, Target stores nationwide will exclusively offer these 3-D GRAMMY Glasses so that fans have the opportunity to see the film that was very personal to Jackson. Additionally, the audience at STAPLES Center will share the 3-D experience, wearing the same glasses as those being worn by viewers at home.

18.10.2009 Michael Jackson 'This Is It' New Video Clip Released

Michael Jackson’s 'This Is It' Is In Cinemas Worldwide From 28th Of October 2009

His final days have been publicly scrutinised, his state of mind analysed in minute detail, now fans have been given a chance to see for themselves what Michael Jackson's last months entailed courtesy of a clip from the forthcoming film Michael Jackson's This Is It.

The video, obtained exclusively by Times Online and an American news site, sees Jackson rehearsing various numbers onstage. The King of Pop was preparing for his much much-anticipated This Is It comeback concerts at London's O2 when he died suddenly on June 25 from a prescription drug overdose.

The director of the concerts, Kenny Ortega, said the film, which he has also directed, was a "gift to Michael's fans" and would show that, despite rumors, Jackson was still a "consummate performer".

"I’m proud of the many years of friendship and creative association I shared with Michael and I’m happy that people will get a chance to see his spirit and drive in action," he said.

"This Is It may go down as the greatest concert that no one got a chance to see, but with this film, we get a rare portrait of Michael as he prepares for his final curtain call and what I believe was going to be his master work.”

The film, to be released on October 28, follows a string of disastrous attempts to honour the singer.
Earlier this week, his estate released a new song, also called This Is It, amid feverish anticipation and tight security. The track, however, failed to impress critics and quickly caught the attention of veteran singer-songwriter Paul Anka, who found it strangely familiar. The Canadian icon revealed he had written the piece with Jackson in the Eighties and threatened to sue the estate, who quickly granted him a credit and 50 per cent of the copyright.

Last month Jackson's brother Jermaine cancelled a lavish tribute concert just two weeks before it was due to take place at a Vienna castle after a raft of artists who he had announced would be performing said that they had never agreed.

Police are treating Jackson's death as a homocide and are investigating doctors who treated him in Los Angeles, where he died.

04.09.2009 Final Farewell: Intimate Funeral For Michael Jackson

BREAKING NEWS: Pop Legend Michael Jackson Buried :: MJ BURIAL PICTURES

Friends and family of Michael Jackson have paid their last respects to the King of Pop at a funeral ceremony outside Los Angeles.

Dame Elizabeth Taylor, actor Macaulay Culkin and music producer Quincy Jones were among the 200 invited guests. Gladys Knight sang at the service while civil rights campaigner the Reverend Al Sharpton was one of the speakers.

The Jackson family wrote on the invites: "We loved him, we laughed with him, we sang with him. We danced with him. But on this day, we celebrate him."

While waiting for the Jacksons to arrive, Mr Sharpton posted a message on Twitter saying: "What MJ went through was so unfair, yet he succeeded. In the end,
he was the biggest artist ever. He faced the headwinds but he made it."

The service opened with a quote taken from Jackson's book Dancing The Dream which read:

"If you enter the world knowing you are loved and leave the world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with."

Songwriter Clifton Davis sang The Jackson 5 song "Never Can Say Goodbye," which he wrote for the group.
Police cordoned off the area surrounding Forest Lawn after urging fans to stay away from the event.

Michael Jackson was laid to rest in the Great Mausoleum at the cemetery, where scores of Hollywood legends are buried.

His casket was to be placed in a private area of the crypt that also houses the bodies of Clark Gable, Jean Harlow and Carole Lombard.

Jackson's body has been kept at the cemetery since his public memorial service at the Stapes Centre in downtown Los Angeles on July 6.

The star's sudden death was ruled a homicide last week.
